On behalf of Natiional Council

It is with a very heavy heart that I write these words. I am really sorry to have to inform you all the wonderful and lovely Alex Leech sadly left this world this morning. Alex and his wonderful wife and daughter Linda and Yanin are lifelong members of our club. Alex did more for this wonderful club over the years than any one of us can imagine. Alex was a gentle giant and always came up with wonderful ideas to entertain the kids of this club. It's very sad to have lost him so young but his pain and suffering is now over. Please light a candle wherever you are for the happy repose of his kind and gentle soul. May Alex rest in eternal peace.

Members please be advised that due to very low numbers the National Executive Council have had to make the very tough decision to cancel the National Holiday in Clonmel. It will now be transferred to Courtown and those who were booked in have been informed and offered to transfer their booking to Courtown. The National Executive Council regret having to make this decision but it wouldn't be feasible to go ahead with the plans with so little interest being shown.

Members, as you are now aware, the National Holiday will be held in Clonmel. We have viewed the bookings that have come in so far and there are only 9 booked in. This really needs to increase drastically by the coming weekend, as currently it is cost prohibitive.

The National Council executive will have to call an emergency meeting to consider all options otherwise. Please, if you are planning to go, book in as nothing can be fully organised if we don't have a better idea of the numbers for preparation.

Regards in Camping,

National Council.
